PostHeaderIcon What You Don’t Know About Shampoo Brands

What most people don’t know about shampoo and the different brands is that they all have the same ingredients, but each has their own unique way of blending and mixing those same ingredients to form a different product. There are additives and a few other specialty ingredients that some use, but the basic recipe for a good shampoo is really the same across the industry. Those brands that sell for more in salons are better for your hair, and have more of the better  ingredients, and so they do cost more.  However, you can find a good shampoo that is cheaper in the aisles and stores like Walmart, Target, and KMart if you are willing to experiment and see what works best with your hair.

If you have normal, straight and healthy hair, you can usually use any of the regular cheaper shampoo brands that you want. What you can do in that case is find one that has the best aroma, smell, essence and that seems to leave your hair feeling the great when you run your fingers through it and see how it feels. Forget about getting hair like you see on television through just shampoo brands, as none can give you that amazing TV shine that you see on commercials, in glamor magazines or in the movies. They can give you a good base for that look, but you need to use other products in conjunction that can give that shine.

Of course not everyone can have great normal healthy hair and when you have damaged hair, you may want to go for shampoo brands that are designed for damaged hair and contain special ingredients to treat damage ends and hairs. You should know that no shampoo can fix hair that has split. Once it is split there is no fix. Some people can smooth them together for a short time, giving the illusion of repair, but that is really not possible and is not a permanent solution. However, some brands of shampoo can work to increase the strength of your hair and make it a bit stronger, and that means less breakage from day to day and in the long run. Think of it as a precaution against breakage and damage, but not a fix. A trim or cut is the only fix for split ends.

What you are going to find is that some shampoo brands work better than others for your particular hair type and it will certainly not always be the more expensive ones.  Remember just because something is more expensive it does not mean it is a better product. If you have colored or treated hair, you will definitely want to use something that is more gentle than others. Try a few different brands to see which your persona l hair responds to the best. If you have curls or curly hair, you may want to go with more expensive salon style shampoos  for the better results, but there are also some store brands that can work great too if it is healthy overall but needs just a little extra tender care. A little trail and error, no matter what type of hair you have, should lead you to your best choice.

The best way to see which is really going to be best for your particular hair is to try different ones and also ask your friends with similar hair types what they use and like.  Chances are they have probably tried several different brands too and may save you time and money and help you to find a solution faster.
